Fitzrovia Painters & Decorators
Studios & agency offices
An open studio needs visual calm without losing the texture of the building it occupies. Our painting enquiries cover design workspaces, agency offices and converted commercial interiors, with retained brick, glazing and equipment considered from the outset.

An industrial background with a new working brief
Camden’s Charlotte Street appraisal records cabinet-making and the replacement of older mews buildings by workshops and warehouses. Westminster’s East Marylebone audit describes garment workshops and a later presence of advertising and media businesses. Those histories explain the local mix; they do not establish the former use of any particular office.

Make the edge between materials deliberate
List the surfaces that stay exposed alongside those receiving a new coating. Brick piers, steel-framed windows, columns, timber floors and service runs each need a defined boundary. Confirm whether metalwork is decorative or part of a specified protective system before including it. The proposal should make clear what is cleaned, protected, prepared or painted.
Choose finishes in the working light
A large white wall may be a backdrop to samples, screens or presentation boards. Review a sample in daylight and with the office lights on, allowing for reflections from glazing and exposed brick. Identify partitions that need a different finish and agree the treatment of fixings, pinboard marks and redundant brackets before work starts.
Release a usable portion of the floor
For an occupied office, identify a complete working area that can be cleared and isolated. Confirm who moves computers, models, sample libraries and loose cables. Plan preparation, application and return to use as separate stages. Evening or weekend preferences can be discussed against the building’s rules and the council’s permitted working arrangements.
